For truck drivers waiting at the dock
You sleep.
We watch the dock.
Aim your phone at the dock light or the trailer ahead, tap ARM and go to the sleeper. Dock Monitor wakes you with loud beeps the moment it's your turn, and keeps the proof for detention pay.
Coming to Google Play and the App Store. Android and iPhone.
How it works
Three taps, then rest
Aim
Put the phone on the dash or mirror mount. Tap Dock light or Truck ahead and drag the square over it. Zoom reaches lights 60 feet away.
ARM
One beep means it sees a red light, three beeps a green one. No beep? Move the square and try again.
Sleep
After a minute the screen goes fully black to save battery. The camera keeps checking, and the alarm gets louder if you don't wake up.
| What happened | Beeps | The voice says |
|---|---|---|
| Dock light turned red | – | |
| Dock light turned green | “Dock light is green.” | |
| Truck ahead is moving | “Truck ahead is moving.” | |
| Phone slipped, light not seen for 3 min | “Dock light lost. Please check the camera aim.” |
Everything in one app
Built from real nights at the dock
Dock light alarm
Red or green, steady or flashing. An unlit lens doesn't fool it.
Truck-ahead alarm
When the trailer in front pulls out, you hear 5 beeps, day or night.
Detention report
Arrival, appointment, free time, detention hours and the dollar amount in one PDF.
Automatic arrival
The phone notices when the truck stops at the gate and saves the time and GPS spot.
Paperwork scanner
BOL, POD and lumper receipts as clean PDFs with load number, driver and truck.
Email to company
Save dispatch's address once. Every scan and report goes there in two taps.
Location proof
A satellite picture of where you are, with big date, time, address and GPS.
Made for all night

Camera unit (coming)
An optional small Bluetooth camera on the mirror, so the phone stays in the bunk with you.

Detention you can prove
Tap Detention when you get to the shipper. When you leave, Dock Monitor makes a report with every light change, alarm and photo on a timeline, and emails it to dispatch with your BOL and POD attached.
- The clock starts at the appointment if you came early, at arrival if you came late.
- Free time (usually 2 hours) is not billed. You set it in the app.
- Every time is stamped, and every photo carries GPS.

Questions
Drivers ask
Does it work with the screen off?
Keep the app open. After one minute the screen goes fully black, and the camera keeps checking every few seconds. Any alarm turns the screen back on.
What about the battery?
The camera uses power. With the black screen, our tests show about 9% per hour, so plug the phone in for a whole night. The app tells you out loud when the battery is down to 10%.
Will it see a light 60 feet away at night?
Yes, with zoom. Put the square tight around the light. Flashing lights count as on, and an unlit lens is not mistaken for a lit one.
Which phones?
Android phones and iPhones. The paperwork scanner on Android needs Google Play services.
Who sees my location?
Your location stays on your phone. It goes only into the photos, reports and emails you choose to send.
Does it replace my ELD or the broker's tracking app?
No. Dock Monitor wakes you up and keeps your own proof. Keep using your ELD and any tracking app the broker requires.
